Digital Image Processing

As the name suggests, the domain of Digital Image Processing refers to performing computerized mathematical operations on images or more specifically, on multi-dimensional bit-matrix of image-pixels. Such algorithmic operations could include adjustment (i.e. increasing/decreasing) of image parameters like Brightness, Saturation, Colours, Contrast, Tint or performing Rotation, Convolution, Segmentation, Zooming, Scaling, Cropping, etc. Usage of image processing could be for multifarious objectives such as, Vehicle Number Plate Recognition, Image Comparison/Identification, and more.
